Think Tank

Now this is what you call innovation.

In all probability, Think Tank was the last chapter in the Blur book. Because Blur as a musical outfit is breathing its last (or maybe its dead already). Boy, if a band ends its phenomenal journey with something as glorious as this. It becomes immortal.

Would it be wrong to say that Blur was the best band to come out after 1985?

LLG: Wait another decade and this band would be counted as one of the finest ever.

LL of Cool J: Oasis vs. Blur.. seriously WTF?. At least going by the kind of albums Oasis has been churning out lately.

Yeah, Sonic Youth vs. Blur vs. Radiohead would be a good debate.

Oasis, such a fantastic start. I don’t why/how they fizzled out?

Probably they started taking themselves way too seriously. That whole 'we are bigger than the Beatles' shit. Things got into their head I guess.

I saw this documentary once where these 'music critics' were putting Blur and Oasis together mainly because they're both Brit. And how they keep on putting one up on each other. Pretty dumb logic.
I think the only decent album by them was Morning Glory , and that too not something I'll go to m grave with.
Hmmm. Yes, nerve-racking debate that'll be. I'm almost scared to get into it. Lol.

Now I have to admit Morning Glory is a favourite. After that one way-DOWN.

Compare that with Blur's catalog. What consistency and intelligence.

Yeah I know. It's a totally different league. I like Morning Glory too..but one great album doesn't cut it for me..
