based on last albums, I'd pick Icky Thump over Attack & Release. Maybe I should give it another listen or two later on, but it really didn't do too much for me.

yup agree about their latest outings. however, A&L has its moments for sure

neat band, and orange is a good record. but they are a bit quirky (blame it on NY) to be called basic/minimalist/roots/pure

Jon Spencer had his moments with Orange, but i think they hit their peak a long time ago.
