Both these guys are pretty active. Started more or less at the same time. Have a huge catalog. Both these guys have made many great records too. Dropped some nice shit lately.

Picking one might be a tough call for many. But for me it is Neil Young all the way. Without a doubt.

Huzzah! *puts on On The Beach*

don't you think Young looks eerily like Hugh Laurie (or other way around) in that pic?

must say that dylan has aged better than young, who looks very fruity now.

Oh, Icky Thump non-radio rip out.

LL Cool J: Yes, nostalgia. But like you said the other day- to a very great extent hype & advertisement too.

And for people who grew up in the 90's (especially in India), unavailability of majority of Neil Young albums except on vinyl.

Luckily there was this shop in Palika Bazaar, which used to have almost all Young albums from 70's & 80's on vinyl. Got all of them taped between 1998-99. Sadly they are still unavailable on CD in India, in spite of recent reissues.

DECADE is available in India but I have that on vinyl.

LLG: lot of his mid 70's albums were not pressed on CD anywhere in the world. In fact 'On the beach' was not even on tape. and vinyl was not pressed beyond 1980. that album first came out on CD in 2003!

Time fades away is still found on just vinyl and nothing else! worldwide.
